Nicole Mills

In the fall of 2017, Nicole Mills (Criminal Justice/Spanish, 2018) took part in an experiment in semantic markup as her semester project in the course SPW3130 Spanish American Literature to Modernismo. This endeavor was related to our work on the Compendio histórico (1799). In the spring of 2018, Nicole worked with fellow student Teri Wilson on the transcription and encoding of Descripcion geographica, y derrotero de la region austral magallanica (1690) by Francisco de Seyxas y Lovera. Nicole earned academic credit for this work through an internship course supervised by Dr. McCarl. Nicole is pictured here in 2018.
