&lt;p&gt;Además de la variación en las vocales no tónicas que es común en los textos de la época, esta carta se caracteriza por irregularidades ortográficas y morfológicas que al parecer se deben a la condición de ser el español un idioma extranjero para Enriques Clerque, como él mismo señala al pedir que el destinatario le perdone los fallos lingüísticos: "Suplico a vuestra excelencia escuse mi error y ignorancia y rudo estilo y términos, que se podrán sufrir por lo que tengo de extranjero" (fol. 9v). Mantenemos las formas irregulares de Enriques Clerque y ofrecemos explicaciones y aclaraciones en las notas.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
