Córcoles y Martínez cuenta la versión del comienzo de la guerra que le comunicaron los líderes indígenas, detalla la ayuda que les había proporcionado, y asegura que procurará más información sobre las circunstancias de la guerra. Celebra además el hecho de que tanta gente que por muchos años había sido enemigos de España se haya incorporado a la población de la Florida para volverse cristianos y jurarle lealtad a la Corona.</text>
